Lunch Picnic

Jordan surprised me today. He came and picked me up from work and we had a picnic on the Tabernacle lawn for lunch. What a great husband. We had sushi, unconventional but totally us.
I love that man!

Me and Ash stayed up until 4am talking.
Me and Car went to brunch at Bear Paw.
And me and Aria spent a day together chillin and seeing the horses.

Update

Me and Jord's life has stayed pretty much the same. Jordan is still working and going to summer school. Im still working too. I was able to go to a pretty cool conference at Thanksgiving Point a couple weeks ago. I never had the disire to go vist Thanksgiving Point before, but i really found it enjoyable. We were able to visit both the adult and children's gardens, and the dinosaur museum. It might not sound like crazy fun, but it was a cool trip and the gardens were beautiful!

-A water feature at the Gardens
-A shark at the museum (that is a look of true fear)

After the conference Jordan and I went to see 'Miss Saigon' in Salt Lake. My mom had bought tickets for us for my birthday. We loved it.

Grandma Gardner also passed away. She was such a great woman. and definately an awesome grandma. We love her so much. Jordan and I were able to make it to St. George for the funeral. It felt great to be around family again and it reminds me how blessed I am to be part of the Gardner family.

What I Do

I get asked a lot about what I do for my job. I'll answer with "Im a GIS Specialist for the UACD and the County" but the inquisitor will usually still follow with a "What's that?" or "So... what do you do?". Its actually a pretty hard question to answer.

I could answer this question two ways:

1. If the person asking the question has had any experience with GIS then I would say "Im doing an irrigation assessment for Cache County."

2. If the person asking the question has not had any experience with GIS then I would say "Its kinda like google earth but its not a "read-only" type of software. You can update, edit and create your own data."

ESRI, the producer of the main GIS Software, states that: A geographic information system (GIS) integrates hardware, software, and data for capturing, managing, analyzing, and displaying all forms of geographically referenced information.

Blah Blah Blah. This post is probably boring everyone to death, but there it is. Its what I do

Since we GIS people believe a "picture is worth a thousand words", here is what my computer looks like at any given time:

Oh yeah. And Im thinkin that I will be going PRIVATE with my blog pretty soon. Probably in a couple weeks, so if I dont already have your email address then please leave it as a comment!
